25 Years Building Houses and Hope - Join Us Today!                           

Habitat for Humanity of Coastal Fairfield County has reached a memorable milestone – our 25^th year and our 150^th home. During this time, we have built houses as well as hope with you – our donors, volunteers, supporters and future homeowner families.

But even with this good news now is not the time to rest on laurels and look back. It’s time to look ahead – to what we can accomplish during the next 25 years for families needing affordable housing.

Please help us raise $25,000 by making a gift in multiples of 25 – $25, $250, $2,500 or even more – to celebrate our first 25 years together and to set the agenda for the next 25 years of partnering to offer affordable home ownership opportunities.

You might ask, why should I make a gift to Habitat? 

1. Over the last 25 years –  150 houses were built, more than 700 people moved from substandard to decent, affordable housing . . .  the historic restoration of Williams Street in Bridgeport is very nearly complete . . . an 8-unit condominium complex in Stamford was launched.

2. The far-reaching impact of decent affordable housing extends well into the future – children in these homes are 20 percent more likely to graduate from high school . . . 12 percent more attend college . . . 50 percent of their children, when adults, move into home ownership as opposed to renting, thus contributing to their communities’ tax base.
