150 Homes in 25 Years—Help Build the Next 150!

Since 1985, Habitat for Humanity of Coastal Fairfield County has quietly and steadily been improving lives and neighborhoods in Bridgeport, Stratford, and now Stamford. Habitat has created affordable homeownership opportunities in partnership with corporations, congregations, schools, civic groups, individuals, and aspiring families in search of a “hand up, not a handout”. These homes and new homeowners have created lasting change in their communities.

We have much to be proud of – our volunteers and donors have helped build 150 homes in 25 years; in addition, through your generous donations and volunteer efforts, we have responded to the hurricane-stricken Gulf Coast region with 11 trips averaging 15 people each trip, and worked on a total of 15 homes; 2 of which were wholly sponsored by our affiliate.

Because the need for affordable housing is still so great, we have embarked upon an ambitious building program with optimistic goals for the future – but we cannot do it without you!

We have 11 homes under construction and an additional 5 lots waiting to begin. But we cannot do it without you. We are well short of the lofty financial goals we need to meet in order to complete these projects, and the current economic conditions make the time frame for completion uncertain. In short, we need your help!
